1. Scope

This policy applies to BibleMind’s app, website, support communications and associated online services. The public website is primarily informational and does not require registration or payment.

2. Data we may process

  • Profile and preference data: name or chosen display name, language, notification preferences, Christian tradition if you choose to provide it, and optional personalization information such as birthday or demographic fields where offered.
  • Content you create: prayers, journal entries, reflections, saved passages, study notes, Companion or Study conversations, and other text you choose to submit.
  • Technical and security data: device/app version, operating system, language, IP-derived security information, diagnostic events and similar data needed to operate and protect the service.
  • Subscription and purchase status: information returned by Apple App Store or Google Play that confirms purchase, subscription or entitlement status. We do not receive your full payment-card details from the app stores.
  • Communications: messages you send to support, licensing or business contacts.

3. Sensitive and special-category information

Your use of a Christian spiritual companion may reveal religious beliefs. Journal, prayer or conversation content may also reveal health, family or other sensitive information if you choose to enter it. Please only provide information that you are comfortable processing for the requested feature. Where law requires consent for optional sensitive personalization, we will seek it.

4. Why we process data

  • to provide Bible study, prayer, journaling, Companion, read-aloud and personalization features you request;
  • to remember settings and, where enabled, relevant context across sessions;
  • to verify subscriptions and premium entitlements;
  • to provide reminders and notifications you enable;
  • to protect the service, prevent abuse, diagnose errors and maintain reliability;
  • to respond to support or legal requests and comply with applicable law.

Depending on the activity, our legal basis under European data-protection law may include performance of a service you request, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. AI-assisted features

BibleMind includes AI-assisted conversation and explanations. Information you submit to an AI-assisted feature may be processed by contracted cloud or AI service providers to generate the requested response. AI-generated content is not Scripture and may be inaccurate. BibleMind is designed to distinguish Bible text from generated explanations and conversation.

6. Bible text and licensed content

Bible translations and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective copyright owners and licensors. Availability may vary by language, territory and licence. BibleMind does not claim ownership of third-party Scripture translations.

7. Service providers and disclosures

We may use service providers for cloud hosting, AI processing, diagnostics, communications and store billing. They process data only for the services they provide to us and subject to applicable contractual and data-protection requirements. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

8. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual clauses.

9. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the feature, security, contractual or legal purpose for which it was collected. Retention periods differ by data type. Where available, you can use in-app reset or deletion controls. You may also request deletion by contacting us.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in your country or with the competent Cyprus authority.

11. Data deletion requests

To request deletion of data associated with you, use any deletion controls available in the app or follow the instructions on our Data Deletion page. You can also contact office@biblemind.eu.

12. Children

BibleMind is not designed as a child-directed service. If you are below the age at which you can lawfully consent to personal-data processing in your country, use BibleMind only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

13. Security

We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and users should avoid entering information that is unnecessary for the feature they are using.

14. Website cookies

The public BibleMind website does not use non-essential advertising or analytics cookies by default. If this changes, we will update this notice and, where required, provide consent controls.

15. Changes

We may update this policy as BibleMind evolves or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
